Your Wedding day will be one of the most memorable days of your life. Let me take care of the details of your ceremony so you can relax and plan the other aspects of your special day.
Keep It Simple
As your Wedding Celebrant I am passionate about my service to you. I aim to take care of all the little and big details of your wedding ceremony so that you can relax and get on with organising all the other special details for the rest of your wedding day. I like to keep it simple and explain to you all that is required in the process. I say to every couple that no question is too silly or embarrassing to ask. You may email or call me direct on my mobile at any time or even have another meeting if you feel it is necessary. It will be such a beautiful day to remember and I will help you to relax and enjoy every moment.
I only ever take one booking per day so all my focus for that day is on your wedding. I will arrive at least an hour prior to the ceremony to set up the signing table, check the venues sound system is in proper working order, meet your photographer and/or videographer, and help the Groom relax.
I am happy to conduct weddings in Scotland and in the North of England. I can travel up to three hours on your wedding day to your chosen venue to officiate at your wedding. We can come to another arrangement for weddings that require me to stay overnight. Therefore you can celebrate your wedding anywhere in Scotland or North England where there are some of the wonderful places to celebrate your big day.
The same process applies for Civil Partnerships or same sex marriages.
I am happy to provide a similar service for married couples looking for a Renewal of Vows Ceremony.
Meet and Greet
After your initial contact with me for a quote we can then meet for a no obligation chat over coffee at a convenient location. We will then discuss what my service to you will be and I will answer any questions that you may have. If you wish to proceed beyond our initial meeting and make a booking then I will ask you to fill out a booking form providing details of the wedding party, date and the venue. You will also pay a non-refundable deposit of £150.00 to secure your wedding date. We will then communicate via telephone, email, or in person right up to the date of your ceremony to ensure everything is as it should be. You will receive a draft copy of the script so that you can make any changes (or ask me to).
Legal Documents
I will guide you through all the legal requirements for marriages taking place in Scotland. In Scotland all couples must submit Marriage Notice Application Form M10 no less than 29 days before - preferably 12 weeks before - to the registrar of the district in which the marriage is to take place. You will then agree a date with the registrar to return with two witnesses to sing the paperwork - you can go in your jeans and tee-shirt. Thus you are saving your vows and rings, and everything else for your actual wedding ceremony. This will not take long as you are literally just signing paperwork in front of the registrar.
On the Big Day
The ceremony will be presented in clear diction with heartfelt and genuine passion. I will research the venue to ensure that the proper sound equipment is in place to ensure everyone can hear the ceremony and your wedding vows.
During the signing of the Marriage Schedule your choice of music will play through the venue sound system. If you wish I can decorate the signing table to match the theme of your service. For example at the seaside we can use driftwood, seashells and collectables. A decorative marriage certificate will be signed and given to you to take home as a memory of the occasion.
IAs your Marriage Celebrant I will give you complete freedom to create the unique ceremony you desire and not one already made for someone else.
The ceremony can take place anywhere, the vows and promises created are created together to suit you personally. The music and readings, may be from religious works or otherwise. Family and friends may take part, giving readings or blessings. Or they may choose to have the Celebrant lead the ceremony in a more traditional role.
The choice is yours and your alone. My beliefs as your Celebrant, play no part in the proceedings.
